yes
If they're listed as vegetarian, then they may not be vegan...should probably call them with your concerns...
Yes ma'am. Only part time and mainly delivery at this point. I've been with the King Yen for many years.
It's no problem! The noodles for lo mein are actually 'egg noodles' which you can guess is made with egg! (Just confirmed with a cook) However, our chow Mei fun is a angel-hair rice noodle (also gluten free)
Mainly flour and scallion (and spices like salt), King Yen uses vegetable oil as well.
Nope, the pancakes themselves do not, but I believe the dish itself does. (You could always request it out) As for the rolls though, they aren't made from egg, however to get the wrapping to stick properly, they are dipped in egg.
When it comes to Vegan options, King Yen is much more limited. The vegetarian chow mein and chop suey are vegan. (Neither of those are noodle dishes by the way, the Lo Mein and Chow Mei Fun are) You can also request things without egg just by requesting it over the phone. They'll tell you if it's possible or not.
Almost anything can be made Vegetarian! Things like egg rolls, or spring rolls are pre-rolled, so we can't take any of ingredients out of them, but everything else you can request the absence of meat. Our Moo Shu pancakes are flour-based.
